Yoga
Of all yoga centres in Dublin we try to offer the most complete picture of this ancient practise. We have a range of classes to suit many tastes: Atma Yoga exercises, posture and breath work; the metaphysical concepts of Bhakti Yoga and Kirtan Yoga, the sacred and melodious chanting of mantras. This section focuses on Atma Yoga - breathe, stretch and align your body in harmony with the universe.
Atma Yoga
The word 'Atma' in Sanskrit denotes body, mind or soul, depending on the context. Atma Power Yoga takes the student through a series of postures timed to a breathing count. The asanas, or postures, are suitable for beginners, or those returning to yoga with some prior experience. Yoga teaches balance and reminds us to appreciate our breath. The postures stretch and safely exercise the entire body, opening channels, releasing stress and positively influencing our entire well-being. Yoga is good for health. Why? Because a yogi leads a lifestyle and practises procedures by which he or she never sees disease. The pharmaceutical industry is one of the largest industries in the world, but a yogi isn't involved. S/he never sees the inside of a pharmacy!
